Hi, I’m Deborah Mayumba — Debbie works too.

I’m a multidisciplinary creative, mobile photographer and content creator with an eye for the unexpected. I’m drawn to the moments, details and visual oddities that are easy to overlook — interesting light, unusual compositions, humor, style and the occasional beautiful weirdness hiding in plain sight.

My creative background spans photography, fashion, styling, marketing, e-commerce, events and visual storytelling. That range has taught me to think beyond simply making something look good. I’m interested in the idea behind the image, the audience seeing it and the story it tells.

My work is created primarily with a mobile phone. I love the immediacy of mobile photography: seeing something, responding to it and making an image before the moment disappears.

I also manage the photographic legacy of my father, photographer Joe Harris, whose work continues to shape the way I think about images, culture and storytelling.

I notice things most people don't—and I enjoy shining a light on them.
